Leon Lotz is a South African farmer and former military serviceman whose family survived a series of brutal farm attacks. In 2010, eight armed attackers invaded his in-laws’ farm, murdering his father-in-law, severely assaulting his mother-in-law, and raping his wife, Adel, in front of their children. Leon now speaks publicly about his family’s experience and the violence affecting South Africa’s farming communities.
